1. Disconnect hose assemblies (1), (2), (3), (4) and (6) from hydraulic control valve (5).2. Disconnect two wire harnesses (7) and (8).3. Remove the bolts that hold hydraulic control valve (5) in position, and remove the hydraulic control valve. The following steps are for installation of the automatic electronic traction aid hydraulic control valve.4. Put hydraulic control valve (5) in position, and install the bolts that hold it in place. Hose assembly (1) is from the right rear wheel brake. Hose assembly (2) is from the left rear wheel brake. Hose assembly (3) is from the pump port in the parking brake valve. Hose assembly (4) is from the tank port in the parking brake valve. Hose assembly (6) is from the brake port in the parking brake valve.5. Connect hose assembles (1), (2), (3), (4) and (6) to the hydraulic control valve. Wire harness (7) contains four wires, two are 202BK, on 775BR and a 774YL. Wire harness (8) contains two wires, and 202BK and a 773GY.6. Connect wire harnesses (7) and (8) to hydraulic control valve (5).7. Bleed the air from the brake system. See Testing And Adjusting for the correct procedure to bleed the brake system.Disassemble And Assemble Automatic Electronic Traction Aid Hydraulic Control Valve
START BY:a. remove automatic electronic traction aid hydraulic control valve1. Remove the solenoid valve and the proportional solenoid valve from the manifold on the bottom of the control valve.2. Remove the two bolts that hold the manifold to the control valve. Remove the manifold from the control valve.3. Remove the O-ring seals from the manifold. 4. Remove the two bolts that hold cover assembly (3) in position, and remove the cover assembly.5. Remove screen assembly (1) from retainer (2).6. Remove the retainer from body assembly (4).7. Remove the O-ring seals from cover assembly (3) and retainer (2).8. Remove plug assembly (5) from body assembly (4). 9. Remove plug (7) from covers (6) and (11).10. Remove the bolts that hold covers (6) and (11) to body assembly (4). Remove the covers from the body assembly. Remove the O-ring seals from the ends of the body assembly.11. Remove spool (10) and spring (8) from each end of the body assembly.12. Remove slugs (9) from two spools (10).13. Remove the pin and piston (16) from the body assembly as a unit. Remove the pin from piston (16).14. Remove seat (14) from body assembly (4).15. Remove spring (15), dowel (17), washer (18) and ball (19) from seat (14).16. If necessary, remove the plug that covers pin (13). Remove pin (13) and stop (12) from the body assembly. The following steps are for assembly of the automatic electronic traction aid hydraulic control valve.17. If stop (12) was removed from the body assembly, put stop (12) in position in the body assembly, and install pin (13). Install the plug that holds the pin in place.18. Put ball (19), washer (18), dowel (17) and spring (15) in position in seat (14).19. Install seat (14) in body assembly (4).20.
