(21) Controller HarnessThe ground fault warning message provides early detection of insulation breakdown. This permits the repair of the equipment before serious damage can occur. Early detection and repair of a ground fault can save both money and time. This is especially important for the generator and the magnet. Typically, the normal insulation resistance of cables, generators, and magnets is in excess of one million ohms (>1 Megohm). Use a megohmmeter that is rated for 500 DCV to measure the resistance. Lower repair costs and longer equipment life can be realized by repairing the magnets and generators before the insulation resistance is down to 0.05 megohm.When in Lift mode, this warning message will become active when the insulation resistance to ground of the Positive Stud (PDB151) is starting to deteriorate.
