Problem
Some 7N5005 Nozzle Assemblies may crack in the area of the case during operation. If a nozzle assembly cracks, it can cause fuel dilution of the lubricating oil. The suspected 7N5005 Nozzle Assemblies have a "K3" date code stamped on the side of the nozzle.
Action Required
Remove from parts stock all 7N5005 Nozzle Assemblies that have a "K3" date code. WARRANTY ALLOWANCES Submit one claim for all 7N5005 Nozzle Assemblies with a "K3" date code.
Parts Disposition
U.S. and Canadian dealers must return all 7N5005 Nozzle Assemblies with a "K3" date code and a copy of the claim to: Caterpillar Tractor Co. Attn: W. R. Hohulin 8201 N. University Whse. 4, Docks 5-8 Peoria, IL 61615 All other dealers should dispose of the parts removed from parts stock in accordance with your Warranty Bulletin on warranty parts handling.
