Start By:
Remove the alternator. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Alternator - Remove and Install".Note: SERVICE DATA: TOOLING (ZZ) WILL NOT BE IDENTIFIED IN PHOTOGRAPHS IN THE REMOVAL OR THE INSTALLATION. THIS TOOLING IS SHOWN IN ORDER TO ASSIST THE EXPERIENCED SERVICEMAN.
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.
Loosen the belt for the refrigerant compressor. Refer to Operation and Maintenance, "Belts - Inspect/Adjust/Replace".

Remove bolt (1) and adjusting rod (2) .Note: Note the spacer behind adjusting rod (2) .

Remove bolts (3) and fan guard (4) .
Remove bolts (5) and fan guard (6) .

Disconnect hose assemblies (9) .
Remove nuts (7). Remove blade assembly (8) .
Repeat Step 6 for the remaining blade assemblies.

Place cardboard between fan hub (10) and the radiator.
Attach a suitable lifting device to fan hub (10). The weight of fan hub (10) is approximately 30 kg (65 lb). Remove bolt (11) .

Install Tooling (A) in the open bolt hole.
Remove bolts (12) and remove fan hub (10) .Installation Procedure

Attach a suitable lifting device to fan hub (10). The weight of fan hub (10) is approximately 30 kg (65 lb).
Position fan hub (10) on Tooling (A). Install bolts (12) .

Remove Tooling (A) .

Install bolt (11). Remove the suitable lifting device from fan hub (10). Remove the cardboard between fan hub (10) and the radiator.

Connect hose assemblies (9) .
Install blade assembly (8) and nuts (7) .
Repeat Step 6 for the remaining blade assemblies.

Install fan guard (6) and bolts (5). Install fan guard (4) and bolts (3) .

Install adjusting rod (2) and the spacer. Install bolt (1) .
Tighten the belt for the refrigerant compressor. Refer to Operation and Maintenance, "Belts - Inspect/Adjust/Replace".End By: Install the alternator. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Alternator - Remove and Install".
