Clear all obstacles from the path of the host machine. Clear all obstacles from the path of the platform. Check for the presence of overhead obstructions. Beware of hazards such as wires, poles, overhead obstacles, etc. Be aware of other vehicles or machines that work in the area.
Check for electrical power lines. Keep the host machine, the platform and the contents of the platform away from electrical power lines at least 8 m (25 ft).
Check for steam lines. Check for compressed air lines.
Check for the consistency of the surface of the job site. When the platform is picked up or when the boom is extended, ensure that the surface on the job site continues to offer even resistance for the tires of the host machine.
