When servicing or repairing electric power generation equipment:
Make sure the unit is either locked out or tagged DO NOT OPERATE.
Remove all fuses.
Make sure the generator engine is stopped.
Make sure all batteries are disconnected.
Make sure all capacitors are discharged.
Make sure residual voltage in the rotor, stator and the generator is discharged.Failure to do so could result in personal injury or death.

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to generator (5). The weight of generator (5) is approximately 170 kg (375 lb). position generator (5). Note: Do not remove the suitable lifting device from generator (5) at this time.

Position locks (9) and install bolts (10). Tighten bolts (10) to a torque of 30 7 N m (22 5 lb ft).

Install bolts (11). Tighten bolts (11) to a torque of 30 7 N m (22 5 lb ft).
Remove Tooling (A) and the suitable lifting device from generator (5).

Remove Tooling (B) from engine (6).

Install bolts (13) and connect cable assembly (12).

Position screen (8) and install bolts (7).

Install harness assemblies (3) and cable assemblies (4).

Install the engine enclosure group. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Engine Enclosure Group - Remove and Install".
