The 320D3 uses an air cleaner system which is common across 20 ton class HEX models. This radial seal air filter features higher dirt filtration efficiency and filter life. The air filter located in the battery compartment behind the operator cab. An electric dust indicator is affixed to the air cleaner housing which will detect and indicate to the operator via the monitor when the filter runs to restriction. This filter core is double-layered for more efficient filtration and includes a seam cap running along the length of the filter for safe handling of the filter during servicing.Turbocharger

Pre-Cleaner
An air cleaner with integrated pre-cleaner can be installed. The pre-cleaner inhales air from the lower side of the pre-cleaner. Air becomes a flow of the vortex when flowing in, and dust in air is separated by the centrifugal force. The separated dust enters the dust separation room of the cleaner cap, and is exhausted from the opening of the slit provided in the cap.
