Manual Dig - Records the load as a Dig state and the dig cycle as startedUse this button:
To give the operator more control over defining the start of a dig cycle when in GIS mode (for training or testing)
When, for some reason, the software has not detected the load (no color appears in the bucket). One dig report is sent to the office at the end of each dig cycle.Manual Dig Physical Switch
To give the operator full control over defining the start of a dig cycle, install a physical dig switch. The software will never automatically detect digging when there is a physical dig switch configured in the MCU.Dig State is "Dump"
The on-board software knows when the machine is dumping and sends the information to the office software. There are variations on how (dependent on machine type) and where (depending on Material Design mode or GIS mode) the dump occurs. There are also some exceptions. For the software to detect the start of a dump, the bucket must first contain material. There are two methods by which the software detects a dig:Automatically - An algorithm based on the movement of the machine. The logic of the algorithm differs based on machine type, whether switches are installed, and whether the machine is using Material Design Mode or GIS Mode.Physical Switch - The operator uses the physical dig switch. The software treats information from both methods the same.Automatic Dump
The automatic trigger for the software to start recording a dump differs by machine typeWheel Loader (Single Antenna)
If a Reverse switch is configured in the MCU, Terrain for grading and loading will exclusively use that signal to determine Dig State. Proceed to Step 4.If no Reverse switch is configured, continue with Step 2.
The first logic condition for Dump detection is the forward movement and Wheel Loader followed by turning.
The second logic condition is the machine coming to a complete stop (0 KPH) with the machine Guidance Point positioned over a polygon that has a "Mined Out" ore status.Note: A dump will not be detected over material that is "Mining In Progress".
A "Dig" occurs. The Dipper Count will increase. The color in the bucket of the machine icon will clear. An entry is added to the prod file. A Dipper Report 2 TMAC is sent to the office. The MT value will retain the material identification of the last Dig until the next Dig is registered.
The loading cycle completes either by the truck fulfilling the Fleet Onboard logic conditions or the Wheel Loader operator manually hitting the "Send Truck" button. A Load Report 2 TMAC is sent to the office. The bucket color clears. All values tied to the current loading cycle are cleared (TN, DC, MT, and others). A new loading cycle begins. For a wheel loader, the software uses the angle of the bucket to define the "dumping" state in GIS mode. The following occurs:
A dump inside the processor polygon is a dump into the processor.
A drive through the processor polygon by a loaded machine is a
