The 214-4862 Position Sensor Group wire strands are breaking on the inside of the wire insulation due to excessive flexing.Solution
Replace the failed 214-4862 Position Sensor Group and add strain relief to the wires. Refer to the procedure that is listed below. Procedure

(1) 8T-4138 Bolt (2) 8C-3111 Rod End
Remove the 8T-4138 Bolt (1) from the 8C-3111 Rod End (2) .

Move the 8C-3111 Rod End (2) and the 148-8473 Detent Rod (3) .

(4) 3S-2093 Cable Strap (5) 148-8472 Lever
Locate the 3S-2093 Cable Strap (4) around the boss on the 148-8472 Lever (5) .

Tighten the 3S-2093 Cable Strap (4). Leave 15.0 mm (0.6 inch) of flexible conduit (6) between the location of the point for the tie and the 214-4862 Position Sensor Group .
Trim the 3S-2093 Cable Strap (4) .

Feed a second 3S-2093 Cable Strap (4) through the 7 mm hole in the 177-0368 Support (7) base of the 183-8479 Electrohydraulic Control Group .

Tighten the 3S-2093 Cable Strap (4). Leave 10.0 mm (0.4 inch) of flexible conduit (6) between the location of the point for the tie and between the connector end of the 214-4862 Position Sensor Group .
Trim the 3S-2093 Cable Strap (4) .
Move the 8C-3111 Rod End (2) and the 148-8473 Detent Rod (3) back into position.
Secure the 8C-3111 Rod End (2) with a 8T-4138 Bolt (1) .
Operate the joystick in order to make sure that the sensor wires are properly secured and that the wires are not rubbing.
