SCREEN AS-SUCTION 1430579 - Caterpillar

1. Remove the four bolts (1) that hold front support to frame. Fasten a hoist and lift front of engine until weight is off front support.2. Put blocks under the engine at sides of cylinder block at oil pan plate. Lower the engine onto the blocks.
Do not use the oil pan as a support. Damage to the oil pan will result.
3. Remove the bolts (3) that hold support to bushing assembly. Remove the engine front support (2). Weight is 46 lb. (21 kg).4. Keep the shims with their respective pad on frame for use at installation.Install Engine Front Support
1. Put the shims on their respective pads (1) on frame. If a new engine front support is installed, it will be necessary to make alignment of engine to transmission case. See ENGINE ALIGNMENT IN DISASSEMBLY AND ASSEMBLY.2. Put the front support (2) on bushing assembly. Install the four bolts that hold support to bushing.3. Lower the front of engine until weight of engine is on support. Install the bolts that hold support to frame. Remove the blocks and hoist from engine.end by: a) install vibration damper and crankshaft pulley
