Speed Sensor

Remove speed sensor (4). Align a gear tooth directly in the center of the threaded sensor opening.
Screw speed sensor (4) into the hole by hand until the end of the sensor contacts the gear tooth.
Turn speed sensor (4) out 1/2 turn (180 degrees in a counterclockwise direction). This will set the air gap to 0.71 mm (0.028 inch).
Tighten locknut (3) to a torque of 25 5 N m (18 4 lb ft).Note: Do not allow speed sensor (4) to turn as locknut (3) is tightened.
