Perform the procedure in Special Instructions, REHS3819 and for repeated low hour failures review Special Instructions, M0068178.
Remove the air compressor if equipped.
Install the 439-1889 Elbow As into the 10R-8899 Unit Injector Hydraulic Pump Gp.
Attach the 503-7469 Hose As to the port on the engine block.

Correct installation of the filter.

Incorrect installation of the filter.
Install the 503-7470 Filter on the 439-1889 Elbow As. The filter is directional and the arrow should point toward the pump.
Align the 503-7470 Filter with the 503-7469 Hose As and tighten the hose fitting onto the mating filter fitting.
Reinstall the air compressor if equipped.
