9     15     Change of Travel speed    The swivel accomplishes two functions. The swivel supplies pump oil from the upper structure to the travel motors of the lower structure. The upper structure swings. The lower structure does not swing. The swivel returns oil from the travel motors to the hydraulic tank.Housing (10) is restrained to the upper structure through rod (21) . Rod (21) is used as a torque arm in order to prevent housing (10) from rotating. Rotor (7) is bolted to the lower structure through flange (8) .
