PROBLEM
The existing top and bottom 346-5977 and 346-5978 Shaft Cover Assemblies from the generator drive shaft can exhibit some welding failures on certain 953D Welding Tractors. The new cover assembly design will provide increased welding durability.

ACTION REQUIRED
Install new top and bottom 394-7935 and 394-7936 Shaft Cover Assemblies. The new part numbers can be ordered and installed on the machine using the original fasteners.
