Drain the front wheel oil low enough to allow the wheel bearing cover to be removed
Please apply a static inspection torque of 1600 Nm or (1180 lb-ft). The static inspection torque provides an indication that minimum assembly requirements have been achieved.
If the bolt does not move, then the proper torque was applied.
If the bolt moves then the truck needs to have the front wheel properly supported.
Next, remove the loose bolt and inspect for damage; replace bolt if it does not meet specification.
Apply Loctite 263 (Red) to the bolt threads and reinstall it. Tighten the reinstalled bolt to a torque 1800 +/- 200 Nm (1328 +/- 148 lb-ft). Repeat this procedure to any additional loose bolts.
Continue this procedure for the opposite wheel
If a loose bolt is found during the inspection, please record truck serial number, component serial number and truck hours and enter this information into SIMSi.
