For your own safety, and maximum service life of the machine, a thorough walk-around inspection should be made before mounting the machine to start the engine. Check for such items as loose bolts, trash build-up, oil or coolant leaks, condition of drums, and condition of front guards. 1. Check engine crankcase oil level. Gauge may read above FULL mark with engine stopped. 2. Check coolant level. Maintain coolant to within 1/2 inch (1 cm) of the bottom of the fill pipe. 3. Check hydraulic system oil level. Oil level should be above ADD mark in sight gauge. 4. Check transmission oil level. Oil should be above FULL mark on gauge. 5. Check diesel fuel level. 6. Check controls for free movement.
