Removal Procedure
Start By:
Raise hood
Turn the battery disconnect to the OFF position.

Disconnect tube assembly (1) and harness assembly (2) .

Remove bolts (3) and cover (4)

Remove locknuts (5) .

Write down the polarity and remove wires (6) from the terminal studs. The polarity is designated by "+" and "-" signs around the terminal studs.

Remove seal (7) .

Remove pump assembly (8) .

Remove backup rings (9), seal (10), and seal (11) from the pump assembly.Installation Procedure
Install pump assembly (8) in the reverse order of removal.
Tighten locknuts (6) to a torque of 1.3 N m (12 lb in)
Tighten bolts (3) to a torque of 9 2 N m (80 18 lb in).
