Start By:a. removing the front drive shaft guard and the drive shaft;b. remove the counterweight;c. remove the front tires and wheels.1. Remove four bolts (1).2. Remove screw (2) and remove grill (3).3. Place Tooling (B) under the tractor frame.4. Remove nut (4) and bolt (5).5. Disconnect two hydraulic hoses (6).6. Install Tooling (A) as shown for removal of the center pin.7. Place Tooling (C) under front axle (7). Attach a strap or chain around the front axle and Tooling (C) to support the front axle when lowering it to the floor.8. Remove the center pin and lower the axle to the floor.9. Remove seal (8) with a crowbar.10. Make two parallel cuts in bearing (9) with a hacksaw blade. Separate the two cuts so that a chisel can be placed between the two cuts.11. Remove the bearing material between the two cuts (10) with a chisel.12. Remove bearing (9) from the axle.13. Install the new bearing (11) in the axle with Tooling (D) and (E).

Illustration 2 Install the new seal (12) a minimum of 7.7 mm (.30 in) (B) into the axle from surface (C). Install in reverse order of removal.End By:a. installing the front tires and wheels;b. installing the counterweight;c. installing the front drive shaft and the drive shaft guard.
