The new procedure addresses the configuration of machines with Product Link that are not reporting machine information on Cat® Products located in North, North Central, North West, and North Eastern regions of India.New Inspection and Repair Procedure
Perform the following procedure to configure machines that are equipped with Product Link:PL522 Harness Connectivity
Verify the PL522 harness connection with the machine harness.

Routing of wiring harness between PL522 ECM and antenna
Check the antenna wiring connection between the PL522 ECM and antenna.
Verify that the antenna location should be placed on machine as per PL522 installation procedure. Refer to Special Instruction, REHS2368, "Installation Procedure for Product Link PL522/523 (Cellular)" for PL522 installation procedure.
Perform the PL522 installation procedure to verify the wiring connection between machine harness and antenna.Hardware Connectivity
SIM Card Detection
The following GSM Information is to be checked using Caterpillar Electronic Technician (Cat ET) to identify if the SIM card is connected.

If the Cat ET shows similar to Illustration 2, perform the following procedure to resolve the hardware issue "SIM card not detected":
Register the new PL522 ECM in VisionLink.
Replace the faulty PL522 ECM with a new PL522 ECM.
Verify the data in VisionLink after installing the new PL522 ECM.SIM Card Readiness
The following GSM Information is to be checked using Cat ET to identify the readiness of the SIM Card.

If the Cat ET shows similar to Illustration 3, perform the following procedure to resolve the hardware issue "SIM card not ready":
Register the new PL522 ECM in VisionLink.
Replace the faulty PL522 ECM with a new PL522 ECM.
Verify the data in VisionLink after installing the new PL522 ECM.Note: Before downloading the data from Product Link, wait for 5 minutes after the machine key ON.APN Configuration

Cellular Packet Data Protocol (PDP) context Activation status should be "Missing or Unknown APN".
Cellular Network Coverage status should be "In Coverage".
Cellular Device Data Network Registration Status should be "Attached Roaming".

Verify the GSM parameters and APN configuration mentioned in Illustration 5 to confirm the APN Configuration Status.
Raise a Salesforce ticket with all the machine information (PSR, GSM, APN report).
