Special tooling needed for D8L Tractors.1. FT1651 Strap Group - the three pieces in this group are needed to give support to the bogies when the track roller frame is being removed or lifted for track installation.2. 6V4816 Installer - this is used to install track roller seals.3. 6V4811 Installer - this is used to install track link seals.4. 6V4871 Reaction Bar - this tool has several applications, but its primary application is for center pin removal for the equalizer bar.5. FT1664 Stud - this tool is also used to remove the center pin for the equalizer bar. It is made from the 5P4184 Stud, which has to be cut to a length of 305 mm (12"). Do not use other material, because the strength of the 5P4184 Stud material is needed in this application.6. FT1713 Wedge Group - this is used in the removal of the bogie cartridges.7. FT1714 Wedge Group - this tool greatly reduces the force required to remove the center pin for the equalizer bar. Both the FT1713 and FT1714 Wedge Groups have similar applications on the D9L and D10 Tractors.8. FT1645 Spacer - this sleeve is used when the radiator guard rear pins are removed.9. 6V4951 Spacer - this tool is needed to install the final drive outer bearing to the correct depth.The chart which follows has those tools which were released for the D9L and D10 Tractors, and those now released for the D8L Tractor.
The 6V2150 Starting and Charging Analyzer Group is another service tool that can be used on the D8L Tractor.
