Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Caterpillar products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.

Attach a suitable lifting device on the front of ejector cylinder (5). Attach Tool (A) on rear of cylinder.
Install ejector cylinder (5). Ejector cylinder (5) weighs 249 kg (550 lb).

Install pin (8) and install retainer (7) .

Lower ejector cylinder (5) until the rear of the ejector cylinder (5) rests on ejector assembly (2).
Install a suitable lifting device to ejector cylinder (5) in order to install cribbing.
Use Tooling (A) in order to move the ejector assembly toward the rear of the bowl.Note: Keep tension on Tool (A) at all times in order to prevent unexpected movement of the ejector assembly.

Install Tool (C). Remove cribbing from ejector assembly (2) .

Lower ejector cylinder (5) onto differential axle housing (9) .
Use Tooling (A) in order to move the ejector assembly toward the rear of the bowl.Note: Keep tension on Tool (A) at all times in order to prevent unexpected movement of the ejector assembly.
Install Tool (B) to ejector cylinder (5) .

Install pin (8) and install retaining cap (7) .

Install hose assembly (6) to ejector cylinder (5) .

Install tube assembly (4) to ejector cylinder (5) .End By: Install the overflow guard. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Overflow Guard - Remove and Install".
