There are two new tachometers available: 197-7347 Tachometer (Electronic) and 197-7348 Tachometer Gp (Electronic). The former 9X-1114 Electronic Tachometer and 9X-1116 Tachometer are now serviced by 197-7347 Tachometer (Electronic). The former 9X-1117 Tachometer is serviced by 197-7348 Tachometer Gp (Electronic). When the 9X-1114 Electronic Tachometer, 9X-1117 Tachometer, and the 9X-1116 Tachometer are replaced, the wiring harness connectors must be converted to DT connectors. In order to convert to DT connectors, a 155-2274 Connecting Plug Kit, 186-3736 Connector Sockets, and 8T-8737 Seal Plugs need to be ordered. Refer to Table 1 for a listing of all the parts that are needed to convert to DT connectors.

( 1 ) Use the 8T-8737 Seal Plugs to seal unused holes in the 155-2274 Connecting Plug Kit .The 197-7347 Tachometer (Electronic) has a backlight. The 197-7347 Tachometer (Electronic) requires four 186-3736 Connector Sockets. These sockets are required for the following connections:
positive signal connections and negative signal connections
positive battery connections and negative battery connectionsThe 197-7348 Tachometer Gp (Electronic) does not have a backlight. The 197-7348 Tachometer Gp (Electronic) only requires two connector sockets: one connector socket for the positive signal and one connector socket for the negative signal.
