SEAL 1022804 - Caterpillar

Clean all parts and inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new Caterpillar parts for replacement.

Install seal (27) , O-ring seal (26) and O-ring seal (25) to body (4) .

Lubricate lip seal (24) lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed. Use Tool (A) to install lip seal (24) to body (4) .

Install washer (23) to body (4) .

Use a hydraulic press to install roller bearing (22) to shaft assembly (21) . Install the roller bearing until the roller bearing contacts the lip of the shaft.

Use a hydraulic press to install shaft assembly (21) to body (4) . Install the shaft assembly until the shaft assembly is seated in the body.

Use Tool (B) to install retaining ring (20) to shaft assembly (21) .

Install O-ring seal (19) and seal (18) to ring (17) .

Install ring (17) to body (4) .

Install O-ring seal (16) to plate assembly (14) .

Use Tool (C) to install rotor assembly (15) to ring (12) .

Install dowel pins (13) , ring (12) , plate assembly (11) and two bolts (10) to plate assembly (14) .

Install cartridge (9) and seal (8) to body (4) .

Install O-ring seal (7) to cover (2) . Install swivel adapter (6) to cover (2) and tighten retaining nut (5) .

Install cover (2) and four bolts (3) to body (4) . Install plug (1) to cover (2) . End By: Install the elevator motor. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Vane Motor (Elevator) - Install". The information is in this manual.
