Be sure that all of the internal parts of the rotary joint are thoroughly clean and free of dirt and debris.

Check the condition of seals (9) and O-ring seals (3) and (7). If the seals are damaged, use new parts for replacement.
Install nine seals (9) in housing (5). Install O-ring seal (7) in housing (5). Apply Tooling (B) on the seals.
Install new dust seal (6) in housing (5). Install dust seal (6) so that the lip is facing outward, as shown. Properly seat dust seal (6) in housing (5).
Do not damage the dust seal when installing the rotor into the housing.
Apply Tooling (B) on both ends of rotor (10). Be sure that there is grease on the rotor area that contacts dust seal (6) and O-ring (7). Install rotor (10) in housing (5).
Install spacer (4) on rotor (10) and in housing (5). Use Tooling (A) to install retaining ring (8) on rotor (10).
Apply Tooling (B) on O-ring seal (3). Install O-ring seal (3) in the top of housing (5).
Install cover (2) and four bolts (1) that hold cover (2) in place. End By:
Install the swivel. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Swivel - Install".
