(4) Green indicatorThe operator controls for the water spray system are on the right console. Water spray enable switch (1) is on propel lever (2) (standard propel lever shown). The water spray enable switch controls the on and off status of the water spray system. When the system is enabled, the water pump motor is activated and the water pump produces flow.Propel lever (2) and display (3) communicate with the machine ECM through the CAN lines.Water spray enable switch (1) is a momentary switch and operates only when the engine start switch is in the ON position. Each time the operator presses water spray enable switch (1) an input signal is sent to the machine ECM. The machine ECM toggles the status of the water system between enabled and disabled with each input signal. Green indicator (4) on the left side of display (3) indicates that the system is enabled. The machine ECM illuminates this indicator. The fault indicator is on the display. This indicator alerts the operator to faults in monitored systems. The machine ECM monitors components in the water spray system for faults. When a fault is detected, the machine ECM illuminates the fault indicator. Service technicians must use an electronic service tool (Plus 1 for Caterpillar) to retrieve fault information. General fault information may also be accessed through the diagnostics menu on the display.

Water spray mode switch (7)
Water spray timer decrease switch (8)
Water spray timer increase switch (9)The switches on the keypad control the water spray system. Each of the above switches provides an input signal to the machine ECM through the CAN. The machine ECM uses the input from these switches to determine the desired operating conditions for the water system.Water spray mode switch (7) is used to select between off, manual, or automatic modes. When the spray mode is off, this switch must be held for 2 seconds to toggle to the manual mode. Once a spray mode is active (indicator light on), activation of this switch will toggle between active modes. When this switch is held for 2 seconds while the system is in an active mode, the spray mode is set to off.The indicators next to water spray mode switch (7) illuminate the currently selected water spray mode. The bottom indicator is illuminated when the system is in manual mode. The top indicator is illuminated when the system is in automatic mode. If the water system is off, no indicators will be
