Open grill assembly (1).

Remove bolts (3) and shield group (2).

Disconnect nitrogen oxide sensor (5) from exhaust elbow (6). Remove bolt (7) and reposition nitrogen oxide sensor (5).
Loosen clamp (4).

Open door assembly (8).

Loosen clamps (9) and (10).
Slide exhaust elbow (6) into bellows (11) to gain clearance. Remove exhaust elbow (6) and bellows (11).Installation Procedure
If exhaust elbow (6), and or bellows (11) is going to be reused, refer to Special Instructions, REHS5014, "Reuse Guideline for the Flexible Exhaust Pipe Group on Tier 4 Engines".

Bellows alignment wrap (B) will be included in the new bellows assembly. Bellows alignment wrap (B) will be pre-installed on bellows (11).Note: Do not remove bellows alignment wrap (B) until Step 13.

Insert exhaust elbow (6) into bellows (11) with clamp (9). Exhaust elbow (6) should be inserted as far as possible without using force. The insertion will minimize the overall length of the bellows assembly and will help in installation.
Align and install clamp (10) and bellows (11) to the turbo outlet ball joint. Loosely tighten clamp (10).
Align and install clamp (4) and elbow (6) to the after treatment inlet ball joint. Loosely tighten clamp (4).
Connect nitrogen oxide sensor (5). Tighten nitrogen oxide sensor (5) to a torque of 50 10 N m (37 7 lb ft).Note: New nitrogen oxide sensors are prelubricated. Do not use Tooling (A) on new nitrogen oxide sensor. Apply Tooling (A) on the threads, when installing an existing nitrogen oxide sensor.
Install bolt (7).

The slip joint at clamp (9) should slide smoothly with an engagement of Dimension (X). Dimension (X) is equal to 40 mm (1.6 inch). The engagement will be verified when the ink line on exhaust elbow (6) is no longer visible.

Verify that the cup of the ball joint (E) does not touch the radius of ball (D).
Clamp (4) at the ball joints is to be positioned such that Dimension (Y) and (Z) are equal. Measure every 90° around clamp (4), if necessary adjust clamp (4).
Repeat Steps 9 and 10 for clamp (10) at the turbo outlet ball joint.Note: Do not use power tools to tighten clamps (4), (9), and (10).
Tighten clamps (4) and (10) to a torque of 35 2 N m (26 2 lb ft) with a maximum wrench speed of 75 RPM.
Remove bellows alignment wrap (B).
Tighten clamp (9) to a torque of 55 8 N m (41 6 lb ft) with a maximum wrench speed of 75 RPM.

Install shield group (2) and bolts (3).

Close door assembly (8) and grill assembly (1).
