Remove three bungs (5) from collet (4) .

Install Tooling (A) to collet (4) . Tighten Tooling (A) evenly to remove collet (4) .
Repeat Step 5 and Step 6 for the collet on the other side.

Attach a suitable lifting device to support the lift cylinder. The weight of the lift cylinder is approximately 150 kg (330 lb).
Remove pin (6) .
Lower the lift cylinder on to the front frame.
Start the engine. Fully retract the lift cylinder. Stop the engine.
Release the hydraulic system pressure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "System Pressure - Release".

Disconnect two hose assemblies (7) from the lift cylinder.

Remove bolt (8) , and the washer from collet (9) .

Remove three bungs (10) from collet (9) .

Install Tooling (A) to collet (9) . Tighten Tooling (A) evenly to remove collet (9) .
Repeat Step 16 and Step 17 for the collet on the other side.

(1) Lubricate the sealing lips with the lubricant that is being sealed. (2) Apply Tooling (D) to the seal groove prior to assembly. Lubricate the sealing lips with the lubricant that is being sealed. (3) Lubricate the threads prior to installing the nut. Tighten the nut to a torque of 6100 610 N m (4500 450 lb ft). (4) Tighten the eight bolts to a torque of 620 80 N m (455 60 lb ft). (5) Apply Tooling (D) to the seal groove prior to assembly.
