The correct last paragraph and an illustration follow. Before a new seal is installed, check the position of the bushing in the housing. The bushing must be even with the counterbore in the housing as shown in the illustration. The 1P529 Handle, 1P460 and 1P457 Driver Plates, which are components of the 1P510 Driver Group, can be used to install the bushing to the correct depth. Put a thin layer 7M7260 Liquid Gasket on the outside diameter of the seal. Use the 1P529 Handle, 1P463 and 1P457 Driver Plates to install the seal.

The new seal has an improved design which will make a better seal around the governor control shaft. Reports show that there have been problems with cracks in the former seal. The cracks can permit air to get into the fuel system. This air will cause hard starting, loss of power, and white smoke.
Adaptable As: The new 2W4037 Seal is a direct replacement for the former 4N2786 Seal, which is canceled. Before a new seal is installed, check the position of the bushing in the housing.
