Remove the swing motor.
Drain the oil from the swing drive, If the swing drive is disassembled. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Swing Drive Oil - Change" for the correct draining and filling procedures.

Disconnect hose assemblies (1) from the swivel. Reposition hoses (1) towards the frame on both sides of the machine allowing access to the bolts in the following step.

Use Tooling (A) to remove bolts (2).

Attach Tooling (B) and a suitable lifting device to swing drive (3). The weight of swing drive (3) is approximately 281 kg (620 lb).

Use Tooling (C) to separate swing drive (3) from the machine frame. Remove swing drive (3).Installation Procedure
Before assembly, remove compound, oil, and dust.
Install swing drive (3) in the reverse order of removal.
Apply Tooling (D) to the mating surface between swing drive (3) and the frame.
Apply Tooling (E) to the threads of bolt (2). Tighten bolts (2) to a torque of 250 25 N m (184 18 lb ft). Turn an additional angle of 45 5 degrees.
