7. Slide the left track and rollers, across to underneath the right track frame. DO NOT ROTATE THE TRACK END FOR END. The front of the left track (as it was disconnected), should still be pointing towards the front as it now sets under the right track frame. (See Image 1.16.1)
8. Bolt the rollers onto the track frame, taking care not to swap or rotate any of the rollers from the position in which they set on the track.
9. Swap the idlers (side to side), taking care not to rotate the idlers. The rubber stoppers in the idler and roller shafts originally faced outwards; they should now be facing inwards after the swap. (See Image 1.19.1)

10. Check equalizer bar end and center bearings for any servicing that may be required to ensure proper undercarriage alignment.
11. If machine has offset track shoes, shoes will need to be swapped.
12. Connect each track, and correctly set the track tension/sag.

REPLACEMENT PROCEDURE
1. Perform Custom Track Service (CTS) measurements. CTS measurements including link and roller wear, tractor SMR, and track chain service hours must be entered into the claim story or as an attached file in SIMSi.
2. Count the number of dry, leaking, and extended joints. The number of failed joints must be entered in the claim?s story.
3. Check equalizer bar end and center bearings for any servicing that may be required to ensure proper undercarriage alignment.
4. If the undercarriage is determined to have dry/extended joints because of thrust bias wear, replace the link assemblies, rollers, carrier rollers, and idlers. (Note: The new idlers will require modifications to be made to the idler guarding. Refer to the IDLER GUARDING MODIFICATOIN PROCEDURE.)
*********IDLER GUARDING MODIFICATION PROCEDURE********
1. Remove all existing top and bottom bolt-on idler guards. These will be re-used. The top idler guards require modification before re-installation, but the bottom idler guards do not require modification.

2. Trim the existing weld-on top idler guard to the width shown. This should be done on both the front and rear top idler guards to provide clearance for the new idler.

3. Trim existing weld-on bottom idler guards to dimensions shown. This should be done on both front and rear bottom idler guards to provide clearance for the new idler.

4. Trim existing bolt-on top idler guards (238-0452) to the following dimensions: A = 68mm ; B = 25mm; C = 80mm; D = 100mm; E = 137; R = 15mm

5. Install 323-1170 idler. Torque idler cap bolts to 570 +/- 80 N.m (420 +/- 59 lb ft).
6. Re-install all top and bottom bolt-on scraper plates and adjust to within 2 mm of idler surface.
