Test Preparation
Drive the machine to a smooth, horizontal surface.

Move travel direction switch (1) to the NEUTRAL position.
Rotate propulsion speed dial (2) counterclockwise to the MINIMUM position.

Move parking brake lever (3) to the ON position.

Move throttle control lever (4) to the HIGH-IDLE position.

Move lock (5) out of the way, and move screed lift lever (6) into the (FLOAT) position. Lower the screed to the ground.
Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature with Tool (D). Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 42.5° 7.5°C (108.5° 13.5°F).
Move throttle control lever (4) to the LOW-IDLE position.

Move engine start switch (7) to the OFF position.

Unlock latch (8), and open engine compartment cover (9).

Engage the lock on strut (10).

Loosen locknut (11), and turn adjustment screw (12) counterclockwise five turns.

Unlock latch (14), and open left side compartment (13).

Disconnect hose assembly (15) from port (16) on the top of the brake manifold. Cap the port with Tool (C5), and plug the hose assembly with Tool (C4) and (C6).

Disconnect hose assembly (18) from port (17) in the hydraulic manifold. Cap port (17) with Tool (C1). Combine Tools (C3), (C7), (C8) and (C9), then install in the hose assembly.
Assemble Tool (B).
Connect Tool (B) to Tool (C3).
Move engine start switch (7) to the start position. Release the switch when the engine starts.
Monitor the hydraulic oil temperature with Tool (D). Operate the machine until the oil temperature reaches 42.5° 7.5°C (108.5° 13.5°F).
Move throttle control lever (4) to the HIGH-IDLE position. Adjustment Procedure
Note: Fan pressure is adjusted while the engine is operating.
Monitor the pressure on Tool (B).
Rotate adjustment screw (12) clockwise until the pressure on Tool (B) is 23000 1000 kPa (3335.92 145.04 psi).
Hold adjustment screw (12), and tighten locknut (11).
Move throttle control lever (4) to the LOW-IDLE position.
Move engine start switch (7) to the OFF position.
Disengage the lock on strut (10). Close engine compartment cover (9), and lock latches (8).
Remove Tool (B) and Tool (C). Connect hose assembly (15) to port (16) on the top of the brake manifold.
Disconnect tools (C3), (C7), (C8) and (C9) from hose assembly (18). Disconnect tool (C1) from port (17). Connect hose assembly (18) to port (17).
Disconnect hose assembly (15) from port (16) on the top of the brake manifold. Cap the port with Tool (C5), and plug the hose assembly with tools (C4) and (C6).
Disconnect tools (C4) and (C6) from hose assembly (15). Disconnect tool (C5) from port (16). Connect hose assembly (15) to port (16). Close left side compartment (13), and lock latch (14).
