Remove Front Timing Gear Cover (Later)
start by:a) remove oil pan baseb) remove vibration damper and hub 1. Disconnect oil line (1) from the front timing gear cover.2. Remove overflow line (2). 3. Remove four bolts and remove bracket (3). 4. Remove ten bolts (4) that hold the timing gear cover to the timing gear plate. 5. Fasten tooling (A) and a hoist to the timing gear cover. Remove bolts (5) and remove the timing gear cover. Weight is approximately 95 lb. (43 kg).Install Front Timing Gear Cover (Later)
1. Install a new gasket (1) on the timing gear plate. Cut the bottom of the gasket even with the bolt of the timing gear plate.2. Fasten tooling (A) and a hoist to timing gear cover (2). Put the timing gear cover in position on the engine and install the bolts that hold it in place. 3. Install ten bolts (3) on the back side of the timing gear cover. 4. Put the gasket and bracket (4) in position on the timing gear cover. Install the bolts that hold the bracket in place. 5. Install overflow line (5) and the clip.6. Connect oil line (6) to the timing gear cover.7. Install a new crankshaft front seal and wear sleeve.
