Remove the gerotor motor.

Bend lock (1) from nut (2). Remove nut (2), lock (1), and washer (3).
Remove O-ring seal (4). Remove nuts (5).

Remove bolts (6).
Remove bolts (7).

Attach Tooling (A) to circle drive (8). Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (A). The weight of circle drive (8) is approximately 127 kg (280 lb).
Raise circle drive (8) and remove gear (9) and thrust washer (10).

Remove Duo-Cone seal (11) from circle drive (8). Remove circle drive (8).

1U-8849 Duo-Cone Seal Installer As 1 Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

Use Tooling (B) to install Duo-Cone seal (12) in gear (9).

Use Tooling (B) to install Duo-Cone seal (11) in circle drive (8).

Attach Tooling (A) to circle drive (8). Attach a suitable lifting device to Tooling (A). The weight of circle drive (8) is approximately 127 kg (280 lb).
Install gear (9) and thrust washer (10) when you lower circle drive (8) into position.

Remove Tooling (A).
Install bolts (7).
Install bolts (6).

Install nuts (5). Tighten nuts (5) to a torque of 520 70 N m (384 52 lb ft). Install O-ring seal (4).
Install washer (3), lock (1), and nut (2). Bend lock (1) on nut (2). Tighten nut (2) to a torque of 325 27 N m (240 20 lb ft).End By:
