2. Label all wires before they are disconnected for assembly purposes.3. Disconnect all the wires from the starting motor that is to be removed.4. Fasten a hoist to the starting motor and remove the three bolts (3) that fasten it to the flywheel housing. Remove the starting motor and the gasket from the machine. The weight of a starting motor is 36 kg (80 lb.).5. Install the starting motors in the reverse order of removal.6. Tighten large nuts (1) to a maximum torque of 30 4 N m (22 3 lb. ft.).7. Tighten small nuts (2) to a maximum torque of 2.25 0.25 N m (20 2 lb. in.).
