Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting and repair of the machine. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Caterpillar Tools and Shop Products Guide", for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids in Caterpillar machines.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
The space between the body and the frame becomes a zero clearance area when the body is lowered. Failure to install the retaining cable can result in injury or death to personnel working in this area.
Personal injury can result from hot oil or hot components.At operating temperature, oil is hot and under pressure. Hot oil can cause burns.Remove the fill cap only when the engine is stopped, and the fill cap is cool enough to touch with your bare hand.Do not allow hot oil or components to contact skin.
Park the truck on a smooth level surface. Ensure that the truck will not move.
Install the truck body retaining cable.

Remove 194-3457 Hose As (A) and 194-3455 Adapter (B) .

Use four 8T-4193 Bolts (1), four 9X-8257 Washers (2), and 2H-3935 O-Ring Seal (3) to install 192-3462 Tube As (4) .

Use four 8T-4194 Bolts (5), four 8T-4223 Hard Washers (6), and 6J-2680 O-Ring Seal (7) to install 239-1432 Tube As (8) .
