A 185-3630 Strap Wrench 1 Note: The fuel filter elements can be replaced without removing the entire fuel filter and base assembly from the machine.
Personal injury or death can result from a fire.Fuel leaked or spilled onto hot surfaces or electrical components can cause a fire.Clean up all leaked or spilled fuel. Do not smoke while working on the fuel system.Turn the disconnect switch OFF or disconnect the battery when changing fuel filters.
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.
If equipped with a sound suppression arrangement, refer to Special Instructions, "Installation of the 351-3820 Sound Suppression Ar (If Equipped)" for specific panel locations and the correct removal or installation procedure.
Turn the power disconnect switch to the OFF position.
Turn the fuel supply to the OFF position.

Disconnect harness assembly (1). Disconnect tube assembly (2).

Disconnect hose assembly (3), harness assembly (4), and tube assembly (5).

Use Tooling (A) in order to remove fuel filters (6).

Remove bolts (7). Remove filter bases (8).

Remove nuts (9). Remove filter base (10) and base (11).

Remove O-ring seals (12) from base (11). Remove O-ring seals (13) from filter base (10).

Remove bolts (14) and filter base (15). Remove O-ring seals (16). Repeat this step for the remaining filter bases. Installation Procedure
Install fuel filter bases (8) and fuel filters (6) in the reverse order of removal.
