Use Tooling (A) in order to remove oil filter (1) from the filter base.

Remove plug (4) from tube assembly (3) in order to drain the oil from the tube assembly and the oil filter base.
Drain the oil into a suitable container for storage or disposal.
Install plug (4) into tube assembly (3) .

Remove bolt (10), the washer, and bolt (11) that holds tube assembly (9) to the side of the engine. When bolt (11) is removed, the clip that holds tube assembly (3) will be loose.
Remove tube assembly (9), the clip, and tube assembly (3) from filter base (4) .
Remove the O-ring seal from the top of each tube assembly.
Remove the gasket from the base of each tube assembly.
Remove bolts (6), the washers, covers (5), the two gaskets, the two plungers, and the two springs from filter base (7) .
Remove bolts (8) and the washers that hold oil filter base (7) to the engine.
Remove oil filter base (7) from the engine.
Remove the O-ring seals from the top of oil filter base (7) .Installation Procedure
Note: Verify that all of the components of the engine oil filter and oil filter base are clean and free of foreign material prior to installation.Note: Check all of the components and all of the O-ring seals for wear or for damage. Replace the components, if necessary. Lubricate the O-ring seals lightly with the lubricant that is being sealed.

Install the O-ring seals in the top of filter base (7) .
Position filter base (7) to the engine.
Install bolts (8) and the washers that hold oil filter base (7) to the engine.
Install the O-ring seals to tube assemblies (3) and (9) .
Install the top of tube assemblies (3) and (9) into the filter base and position tube assemblies (3) and (9) to the engine.
Install the gaskets in the base of tube assemblies (3) and (8) .
Install the clip, bolts (11) and (10), and the washers that hold tube assemblies (9) and (3) to the side of the engine.

Install plug (4) in tube assemblies (3). Install bolts (2) in order to secure tube assemblies (3) to the side of the engine.

Put a thin film of clean engine oil on the seal of a new oil filter. Install oil filter (1) to filter base (7) by hand until oil filter (1) makes contact with filter base (7). Rotate oil filter (1) to an additional 270 degrees in order to hand tighten oil filter (1) .
Check the engine oil for the proper level. Refer to Operations and Maintenance Manual, "Engine Oil Level - Check".
