Remove Hand Metering Pump
START BY:a. connection of anti-pivot linkb. remove lower cab shrouds (right hand shroud and front shroud only)
Release the pressure from the hydraulic system before any lines are removed or disconnected.
1. Put identification on four hose assemblies (1) for assembly purposes.2. Disconnect four hose assemblies (1) from hand metering pump (2). 3. Loosen four bolts (3), and remove hand metering pump (2).Install Hand Metering Pump
Make sure the splines on the shaft are aligned with the splines in the pump.1. Put hand metering pump (1) in position, and tighten the four bolts that hold it in place. 2. START BY:a. remove hand metering pump 1. Remove bolts (2) and cap (1) from the pump body. Remove the O-ring seal from the cap. 2. Remove gerotor assembly (4) and spacer (3) from the pump body. Remove the O-ring seal from the gerotor assembly. 3. Remove drive (6) and spacer (5) from the pump body. 4. Remove O-ring seal (7) from the pump body.5. Remove sleeve (8) from the pump body. 6. Remove pin (12) that connects spool (11) to sleeve (10). Remove spool (11) from sleeve (10).7. Remove six springs (9) from spool (11). 8. Remove bearing races (13) and bearing (14) from the pump body. 9. Turn the pump body over. Remove spiral lockring (15) and bushing (16) from the pump body. 10. Remove seals (18) from bushing (17). 11. Remove O-ring seal (25) and plug (19) from the pump body. If necessary, use a 10-24 NF machine screw (26) installed in the end of seat (21) to remove it from the pump body.12. Remove seat (21), ball (23) and retainer (24). Remove O-ring seals (20) and (22) from the seat.Assemble Hand Metering Pump
1. Make sure all of the parts of the hand metering pump are clean and free of dirt and foreign material. Put clean SAE 10 oil on all parts at assembly. 2. Install O-ring seals (2) and (3) on seat (6). Make sure plug (5) is even with or below the pump body surface after it is tightened.3. Install retainer (1), ball (4), seat (6) and plug (5) in the pump body. Tighten the plug to a torque of 11.3 N m (102 lb.in.). 4. Install seals (8) in bushing (7). 5. Install O-ring seal (9) in the pump body. 6. Put bushing (12) in position in pump body (10), and install spiral lockring (11) that holds it in place. 7. Install bearing races (13) and bearing (14) in the pump body. 8. Install six springs (16) in spool (17) with three springs on each side. Make sure the curves of the springs are in contact and centered in the spool. The notched side of the spring ends must be toward sleeve (15) when it is installed.9. Install sleeve (15) over spool (17) so the notch
