Assembly Procedure
Note: Each transmission modulating valve has the same assembly procedure.

Install nipple assembly (11) on valve body housing (2). The torque for nipple assembly (11) is 14 4 N m (10 3 lb ft).

Install spring (7) and spool assembly (8) in valve body housing (2) .
Apply SAE 30 oil on the O-ring seals (10) and (9). Install the O-ring seals on cartridge assembly (3) .
Install cartridge assembly (3) in valve body housing (2). The torque for cartridge assembly (3) is 50 5 N m (37 4 lb ft).

Install coil assembly (4), spacer (5) and nut (6) on cartridge assembly (3). The torque for nut (6) is 9.5 1.5 N m (84 13 lb in).

Install O-ring seal (1) on valve body housing (2) .End By: Install the transmission modulating valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Modulating Valve (Transmission Clutch) - Install".
