Remove the cab support brackets. The brackets are used in order to brace the cab and the cab riser while the machine is being transported.

Attach a suitable lifting device to the two lifting rings. The cable or the chain that is attached to the lifting rings of the cab must be in tension. The cable or the chain that is attached to the cab must be oriented in the rear direction in order to eliminate the moment that is generated by the riser.Note: The lifting rings are located in the top rear corners of the cab. The approximate weight of the cab, platform, and cab riser is 1700 kg (3750 lb).

Cab retention bolts for front of cab riserNote: Ensure that a proper lifting device is attached to the cab prior to the removal of cab retention bolts (2) .
Remove cab retention bolts (1) from the front of the cab riser compartment and install the cab retention bolts in weld nuts (3) .Note: Illustration 3 does not show the generator. Removing the front louver will provide easier access to the front cab retention bolts.

Cab retention bolts for rear of cab riser
Remove cab retention bolts (2) from the rear of the cab riser compartment and install the cab retention bolts in weld nuts (3) .

Improper lifting or tiedowns can allow load to shift and cause injury or damage.
Do not apply too much pressure with the lifting device being used. Damage to the riser frame may occur.
Move the cab riser until the cab riser is beyond the center point.

Remove the cab support brackets.

Do not apply too much pressure with the lifting device being used. Damage to the riser frame may occur.
Raise the cab riser until the cab riser is beyond the center point.
Slowly lower the cab riser until the cab riser is in the original position.

Cab retention bolts for rear of cab riser
Remove the cab retention bolts from the weld nuts (3) . Install cab retention bolts (2) for the rear of the cab riser.

Cab retention bolts for front of cab riser
Remove the cab retention bolts from the weld nuts (3) . Install cab retention bolts (1) for the front of the cab riser.

Remove the lifting device from the cab.
Install the brackets in the storage location inside the cab riser.
