* CAT ET is designed to run as a "stand alone" Windows program or can be called from Service Information System (SIS) using OS/2 operating system* The software release will service many Caterpillar applications (the Application List shows current Caterpillar model coverage) * All software subscriptions include future enhancements and data updates* Software is provided with a single-use license (must purchase a copy of CAT ET for each computer)* Software subscription includes Caterpillar Flash Memory Software (used for uploading new Personality Module data to ECM) and works with Caterpillar Common Services modules* A 7X-1700 Communications Adapter is required, but not included, to connect personal computer to ECM - also required is NEXG4523 Service Program Module Software version 1.2* Other required cables include: 7X-1688 Cable (RS232), 7X-1412 Cable (American Trucking Association for On-Highway Truck Engines), 7X-1570 Cable (CAT Data Link)Diagnostic Capabilities:
* CAT ET software has separate pull-down menus for selecting different function screens and includes HELP Function Screen (very easy to use)* Diagnostic software helps technicians make accurate repairs, in a short time frame, on products that are increasingly complex (finds the problem quickly and analyzes how to correct it)* Views events where irregularities occurred and were logged by the ECM* Views and changes configuration of ECM* Retrieves engine totals for fuel used, miles traveled, etc. * An ECM summary screen allows viewing of ECM version and identification - other screens allow diagnostic tests and calibrations to be performed * Output data can be viewed in either English or metric unitsSpecifications/Technical Information
