Typical example
Place the steering frame lock in the LOCKED position.ReferenceFor more information about preparing the machine for troubleshooting, refer to the Service Manual module Testing and Adjusting, "Machine Preparation for Troubleshooting" for the machine that is being serviced.Release System Pressure
Note: All H-Series machines are equipped with electrohydraulic controls. Turn the engine start switch key to the ON position before performing Step 1. Turn the engine start switch key back to the OFF position after completing Step 1.
Move the implement control levers several times through the full range of travel. This will relieve any pressure that may be present in the implement hydraulic system.
Push in the plunger for the hydraulic tank breaker relief valve until all pressure is released.Test for Margin Pressure

Attach 8T-0860 Pressure Gauge (0 to 40,000 kPa (0 to 5,800 psi)) (1) to the tee on 1U-5796 Pressure Differential Gauge Group (3) .
Connect one end of hydraulic line (5) to pressure tap (7) . Pressure tap (7) is located on the loader frame near the articulation joint on the right side of the machine. Connect the other end of hydraulic line (5) to the tee on the high pressure side of pressure differential gauge group (3) .
Connect one end of hydraulic line (4) to pressure tap (6) . Pressure tap (6) is located at the articulation joint on the right side of the machine. Connect the other end of hydraulic line (4) to the elbow on the low pressure side of pressure differential gauge group (3) .Note: Position pressure differential gauge group (3) and hydraulic lines (4) and (5) in order to allow a second technician to safely observe and record the pressure readings.
Start the engine and run the engine at low idle.
Position the implement in the FLOAT position.
With the implement in the FLOAT position, check the reading on pressure differential gauge (3) . Pressure should read 2100 100 kPa (305 15 psi).
Stop the engine. Adjust the pump control valve if the pressure was not correct.Adjusting the Pump Control Valve
