When converting a 3500 Genset from a 480 Volt Sensing VR3 Regulator to a 240 Volt Sensing VR6 Regulator, use the wiring diagrams shown in Table 1.For self-excited generators, 242-9702 Voltage Regulator Gp is the the Cancel Replace By (CRB) for 149-6131 Regulator .For permanent magnet generators, 242-9703 Voltage Regulator Gp is the Cancel Replace By (CRB) for 155-3819 Voltage Regulator As .For retrofit instructions, refer to Special Instruction, REHS2505, "VR6B Regulator Installation for 3500 Generator Sets".
