(2) Vibratory speed settingThe tractor operator console is shown in the illustration above. An optional screed console is available and operates in a similar manner.Note: Screed models come with a vibratory system only (V) or with a combined vibratory and tamper system (VT). The display does not show the tamper information when a V-type screed is attached.When the compaction screen is active (shown), the display screen indicates the currently selected vibratory speed setting (2). Vibratory switch (1) is active (as shown) on the screen when the engine is operating. When the engine is started, the vibratory system defaults to the OFF position on the left, and the switch icon is gray. The operator taps the icon to enable the vibratory system. This action moves the icon to the right ON position and turns the icon green.

(6) Function setting indicatorsMode selector switch (5) and rotary dial (3) are on each screed operator console. The mode selector switch is a momentary switch. The mode selector switch allows the operator to choose the control function of the rotary dial. Each press of the switch selects one of four control functions. The switch cycles the functions from top to bottom.The vibratory control function must be selected with mode selector switch (5) to adjust the vibratory speed. Vibratory mode indicator (4) is illuminated when the vibratory mode is active. The vibratory speed is then set with rotary dial (3). Function setting indicators (6) illuminate from left to right as the speed setting increases. The numeric speed setting value is visible on the operator display.Rotary dial (3) operates a digital encoder. The encoder continuously rotates in either direction. The auxiliary ECM monitors the input signal from the encoder through CAN lines. Clockwise rotation of the dial increases the target vibratory speed to a maximum. Counterclockwise rotation of the dial decreases the target vibratory speed to a minimum. Target vibratory speed is maintained across a machine key cycle.Note: When the vibratory mode is selected, the mode remains enabled for ten seconds after the last input of the dial. When this delay time has expired, the system returns to the default material height mode.

(12) OK iconThe vibratory system has a start delay feature. The start delay feature allows the machine to begin moving before the vibratory system starts operating. The delay time is adjusted by the operator. Vibratory delay timer (11) is available on the tractor display.The operator accesses vibratory delay timer (11) through Machine screen (7). From this screen, the"Settings" bar is selected. On Settings screen (8), the"Timers" bar is selected. From Timers screen (9), the operator then selects the"Compaction" bar. On Compaction Timers screen (10), the vibratory delay timer is set using the"Vibratory" adjuster arrows. The left arrow subtracts time. The right arrow adds time.
