Remove plug (1) for the vent port if the reservoir is not equipped with a permanent vent. Note: If the reservoir is not properly vented, pressure will cause the wiper seal on the follower assembly inside the reservoir to fail when the reservoir is filled. Grease on the top side of the follower assembly may prevent the autolube system from functioning properly. Also, grease on the top side of the follower assembly may cause damage to the autolube system.
Fill the autolube reservoir through fill port (2). Place a suitable container under the outlet for the vent port in order to collect any grease that is spilled. Fill the reservoir until grease appears at the outlet for the vent port. Note: The bulk capacity of the grease reservoir is 27 kg (60 lb).
Install the plug in the vent port if the reservoir is not equipped with a permanent vent. The automatic lubrication reservoir provides lubrication for many components. There are fittings on the left side of the machine, fittings on the right side of the machine, and fittings on the rear differential housing.If any of the remote lines become damaged, install a fitting in place of the remote line.
