Install bolt (28) onto cover (27). Tighten bolt (28) to a torque of 60 5 N m (44.3 3.7 lb ft).
Install the following items onto bolt (28) and cover (27): spring (34), spring (35), seat (36), valve (37), spring (38) and retainer (39).
Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Position bolt (28) and cover (27) into a suitable bench vise. Use the bench vise to compress the springs so that pin (33) can be installed.
Install pin (33) onto bolt (28).
Install O-ring seal (32) onto cover (27).

Install screen (31) and element (30) into steering tank (1).
Install cover (27) and bolt (28) onto steering tank (1).
Install plug (29) and the O-ring seal onto cover (27).

Install cap (22) and ball (24) into cap (21).
Install plate (25), gasket (26) and retaining ring (23) onto cap (21).

Install cap (21) onto steering tank (1).

Install O-ring seal (20) onto poppet (15).
Install poppet (15), spring (16) and spacer (17). Use Tooling (A) (not shown) in order to install retaining ring (18) into valve (10).
Install O-ring seal (19) onto valve (10). Install wear sleeve (14) onto valve (10).

Install O-ring seal (13) onto valve (6).
Install spring (11) and valve (10) into valve (6).
Install O-ring seal (12) onto adapter (9). Install adapter (9) onto valve (6).

Install valve (6) onto steering tank (1).

Install element (8) onto valve (6).

Install cover (7) onto valve (6). Use Tool (A) (not shown) in order to install retaining ring (5) onto valve (6).

Install plug (4) into adapter (3).

Use two bolts (2) in order to install adapter (3) and the gasket onto steering tank (1). End By:
