Keep all parts clean from contaminants.Contaminants may cause rapid wear and shortened component life.
Care must be taken to ensure that fluids are contained during performance of inspection, maintenance, testing, adjusting, and repair of the product. Be prepared to collect the fluid with suitable containers before opening any compartment or disassembling any component containing fluids.Refer to Special Publication, NENG2500, "Dealer Service Tool Catalog" for tools and supplies suitable to collect and contain fluids on Cat® products.Dispose of all fluids according to local regulations and mandates.
Clamp assemblies MUST only be used once. Discard all clamp assemblies after use.
Bellows assemblies MUST only be used once. Discard all bellows assemblies after use.

Apply Tooling (B) to the inner surfaces of clamps (50) and (51).
Place clamps (51) in position. Install bellows assembly (49) and adapter (47). Loosely tighten clamps (51).
Place clamps (50) in position. Install bellows assembly (48) and adapter (46). Loosely tighten clamps (50).

Apply Tooling (B) to the inner surfaces of clamps (45) and (42).
Place clamps (45) in position. Install bellows assembly (44) and elbow (43). Loosely tighten clamps (45).
Place clamps (42) in position. Install bellows assembly (41) and elbow (40). Loosely tighten clamps (42).

Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to turbocharger assembly (34). The weight of turbocharger assembly (34) is approximately 246 kg (543 lb).
Install turbocharger (34) and bolts (35).
Remove Tooling (A). Install gasket (38), flange (37), and bolts (39).
Install tee (36) and connect the coolant hose assemblies.
Repeat Steps 7 through 9 for another turbocharger.

Apply Tooling (B) to the threads of bolts (33).
Tighten bolts (33) to a torque of 220 30 N m (162 22 lb ft).

Apply Tooling (B) to the threads of bolts (29) and bolts (30).
Tighten bolts (29) and bolts (30) to a torque of 75 20 N m (55 15 lb ft).
Retighten bolts (29) and bolts (30) to a torque of 100 20 N m (74 15 lb ft).
Tighten clamps (50) and (51) to a torque of 20 2 N m (177 18 lb in), refer Illustration 1.
Tighten clamps (42) and (45) to a torque of 20 2 N m (177 18 lb in), refer Illustration 2.
Connect hose assemblies (31) and (32).
