Remove the ripper carriage. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly Manual, "Ripper Carriage (Beam) - Remove and Install".
Remove the ripper lift cylinders. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly Manual, "Ripper Lift Cylinder - Remove and Install".
Personal injury or death can result from lifting a heavy assembly.The heavy assembly can fall if using an incorrect hoist to lift the load.Be sure the hoist has the correct capacity to lift a heavy assembly. Approximate weight of the assembly is given below.
Note: Mark the locations of shims and of other components for correct installation.

Remove eight bolts (2) and remove guard (1) for the transmission.
Remove bracket (3) and remove pin (4).

Install tool (A) on ripper frame (8) and attach a suitable lifting device.
Place tool (B) under the ripper frame.
Remove the following components from each side of ripper frame (8): two bolts (5), plate (6) and pin (7).

Install ripper frame (8) on the machine. Use tool (B) to support the ripper frame.
Install the following components on each side of the ripper frame: two bolts (5), plate (6) and pin (7)..
