Disassembly Procedure
Start By:
Remove the steering cylinder crossover relief valve. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Relief Valve (Cylinder Crossover) - Remove". Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before the disassembly procedure, the exterior of the component should be thoroughly cleaned. This will help to prevent dirt from entering the internal mechanism.

Remove two nipple assemblies (2) and the O-ring seals from valve body (1).

Personal injury can result from being struck by parts propelled by a released spring force.Make sure to wear all necessary protective equipment.Follow the recommended procedure and use all recommended tooling to release the spring force.
Slowly remove plug (3) from valve body (1) in order to release the tension in spring (8).
Remove O-ring seal (9) from plug (3). Remove shims (6), spring (8) and valve (5) from plug (3).
Remove seat (7) from valve body (1). Remove O-ring seal (4) from seat (7).
Repeat Steps 2 through 4 for the remaining plug.
