Removal Procedure
Hot engine components can cause injury from burns. Before performing maintenance on the engine, allow the engine and the components to cool.

Attach a suitable lifting sling and a hoist to muffler assembly (1) in order to support the muffler assembly (1) during the removal.
Remove clamp (3) and extension pipe (4) from muffler assembly (1) by loosening locknut (2), the bolt and the washer.

Remove four bolts (5) and the washers in order to disconnect plate (6) from the right hand platform and the strap assembly.

Remove two bolts (7) and washers that hold bracket assembly (8) to the strap assembly.
Repeat Step 4 for the remaining bracket assembly.

Remove strap assemblies (9) from the muffler assembly (1) by removing four locknuts (10) and the bolts.
Repeat Step 6 for the remaining strap assembly.

Loosen clamp (11) by loosening locknut (12), the bolt and the washer. Remove muffler assembly (1). The weight of muffler assembly (1) is 50 kg (110 lb).

Remove two nuts (13) and the washers from strap assembly (14) .
Repeat Step 9 for the remaining strap assembly.

Loosen locknut (17), the bolt, the washer and clamp (16) in order to remove muffler assembly (18) from elbow (15) .
Use a suitable lifting sling and a hoist in order to remove muffler assembly (18) from the right hand platform. The weight of muffler assembly (18) is 32 kg (71 lb).
Remove two strap assemblies (14) from muffler assembly (18) .

Loosen locknut (19), the bolt and the washer in order to remove clamp (20) and extension pipe (21) from muffler assembly (18) .
